  • Negative 1.33% to Enchant Defense Spells (ED)
  • Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat (UC) used by the wearer.
  • Plus 1% resistance to DD for each point of enchantment. Each round the spell resistance is 80% of the previous round. The DD resistance is applied right after Mage Shield (MgS) resistance, if any, is applied.
  • Does not block damage dealt by Decay.

Strategy and Comments

  • The best option for an anti mage wall because of the magic resistance.
  • Works best vs. Fireball and Magic Missile, as other DD spells are cast later (and thus the resistance is lower).
  • Doesn't work against Decay so for a 1 minion Tank strategy it would be wise to add in an Antimagic Field Spell to defend against Decay.
  • Cannot be used while also having a Tattoo, Rune or Familiar equipped.

Fun Facts

  • The magic resistance given by the EH was originally on the Trollskin Armor.
  • The introduction of the EH meant that 4 out of the 8 armor slots and both weapons slots could be filled with Elven Gear.
  • On March 15, 2009 The base AC increased by 2. [2]
  • On November 22, 2009, The effect decay was reduced from 30% to 20% each round.[3]
