Negative 1% to DX and Skills with 1-handed melee weapon.
Negative 13% to DX and Skills with 2-handed melee weapon.
Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat
Plus 0.75% resistance to Direct Damage Spells for each point of enchantment. Effect does not decay like the Elven Hauberk.
Does not block damage dealt by Decay or any other source besides Direct Damage; does not grant AC.
Negates all spells trained by the wearer (except for spells that still function at a zero skill level, such as Decay, Ethereal Chains.
A PR weight of 0.15 (where PR weight is an indicator of how much your PR will increase with networth when equipped). The higher the PR weight, the more your PR will increase with networth. PR weight only applies to armor and not weapons.

Strategy and Comments

Doesn't work against Decay so for a 1 minion Tank strategy you would be left without means to protect against Decay
The Rune of Solitude (RoS) Tattoos's Enchant Defense Spells (ED) bonus is added after the Mage Shield (MgS) reduces its wearer's trained spells to level zero. The MgS works first, lowering your ED to 0, then the RoS takes effect. This is to stop items like a Cornuthaum (Corn) working on the RoS given ED. If the MgS and other items worked at the end, after the RoS effect, then the Corn would add to the RoS levels, making it very overpowered. [3] [4]
