Frequently Asked Questions:
A: Yes, from the Settings menu in the upper right. It will be changed in the database immediately, but won't take effect in Chat until you reconnect.
A: These is one way we recognize people who have donated a small amount to CB.
A: Absolutely not. I'm very strict about keeping the CB economy "pure" that way. The only money that enters the game is the money from battles. Nor can you buy a Blacksword or other high-end item from me. (I do offer certain limited-edition items as perks for supporting CB but these are and always will be distinct from the "normal" items.)
Players can and do buy and sell items and $CB from each other, and I have no problem with that.
A: Auto-retire is a feature built into the game to get rid of abandoned characters. It compares your score and your PR (power rating). If your score drops too low relative to your power rating (the actual ratio is subject to change, but low enough that a normally equipped character will not have to worry), then you will receive a warning e-mail. If you do nothing, your character will be auto-retired in one week.
We do this because when people strip a Character of items and move on to another without retiring the first, the abandoned Character will sink in score and start to cause a lot of stalemates because his HP is high compared to others at the lower score. This tends to really annoy people.
If you are actively playing your Character, reaching this ratio is unheard of. However, it does occasionally happen to "mule" Characters of an otherwise active user. (Hint: don't create Minions for your mules.) For this reason we send the warning e-mail to give you a chance to bring your PR up (or at the very least transfer your items off) before the time your character is set to auto-retire.
Finally, if your character does happen to get auto-retired you will still have one final option. There is a 4 day window beginning 4 days after you are auto-retired during which you can "unretire" your character. Remember, however, that if your score remains too low, your character will end up being auto-retired again.
A: Yes, if you are inactive long enough and have not yet completed the tutorial. Inactive accounts are purged starting after 20 days; the period of inactivity required for purging gets longer as you gain PR. You will also receive a warning email. If you do not login within 24h your account will be deleted. And no, you cannot "suspend" your account to prevent this; that would defeat the point of having this.
Supporter accounts are never deleted.
A: First of all, you might be surprised how much the other players and admins know. Try asking them first. Second, since I'm afk a lot in chat, emailing me is your next best bet. Finally, if you must PM me with a question, I will ignore preambles like "Can I ask a question?" Just ask the question and have done with it.
