I will never forgive him for the Transformers... And now he's going to ruin another childhood staple.

I never was much into TMNT (nor Transformers), but yeah, MB has a way of ruining things -- deafeningly.
Hey, it could be worse. Uwe Boll could make a movie based on the TMNT "Smash Up" video game. *smile*
:D
Uwe Boll... I think you might have 'top trumped' me there. ;)
I actually watched 'In the name of the king'. :'(

There is a reason Uwe Boll makes such horrible films. There is no excuse for Bay.
However, I really did not think the Transformers movies were as bad as most people state.
My son and I had a great time watching them, knowing they were not going to be a cinematic masterpiece but just a lot of action and a bit of eye candy thrown in.

I only saw the first Transformers (and didn't actually mind it, either)... Sometimes lots of glinty explosions are fun. *smile*
Well, apart form getting the backstory *utterly* wrong, and not leaving Megatron as a Magnum, the first one wasn't too bad.
Watchable for the CGI transforming effects.
The other 2, had absolultely no redeeming qualities. Ghetto-bots, wrecking ball balls, a decrepid farting Jetfire and more pillaging of the rich back story.
/sigh
That's not even discussing the acting from either human leads...
......... My childhood..... don't destroy my precious memories, I like to wear my TMNT t-shirt for a reason.
I'll quote a friend of mine;
"Bay means nothing to me. He can't ruin the 80's, we lived it"
LoL.
TANT? /sigh
So, aliens that like to eat pizza and know NINJITSU! WooT!
They were mutants for a reason Bay...
the young artists self-published a single issue comic intended to parody four of the most popular comics of the early 1980s: Marvel Comics' Daredevil and New Mutants, Dave Sim's Cerebus, and Frank Miller's Ronin.
:(
Aliens do that so well... And also capture the 'after the bomb' setting that 'TMNT and other strangeness' was based around.

You know, considering the budget *SOME* Uwe Boll movies were made for, IGNORING the source material, the movies weren't THAT bad. It's only when you contrast them with the initial work when things get ugly. Or when you go into bigger-budget movies he made.
For instance, while completely corny, Postal was kind of funny, and I actually laughed quite a bit watching it.
Alone in the Dark was barely related to the source material, the acting was kind of meh, but separate from everything else, I would call it a decent "B movie".
Far Cry, that was also generally ok as a standalone film if you never ever played the game.
Those three had quite a few redeemable qualities, as long as you completely forget what they're supposed to be based on as soon as you start watching.

I didnt mind what he did to Trransformers as it was pretty much in keeping just building on the stories
... but Alien turtles? and saying people might hope they land here one day is about as likely as mutated ones for an excuse/reason
first cheetarah becomes an elf then the Karate Kid does kung fu and now this
However, director/producer Bay, best known for the 'Transformers' movies, will turn the turtles into aliens for their latest big screen outing.
Called it before I even started reading the article.
