I actually played this a while ago on US 1 (East) and I thought it was a lot of fun. Reminds me a bit of AI Wars and Eve Online. Each server is apparently separate so I was able to create a new character on Global America 3 and put it in the VRU (though to be honest I don't even remember what my other character was in, nor have I bothered to check while writing this.)

I'll try to get back into it, see if we can get a few of us playing.

I'll give it a shot when I get some free time :)

Bump for more people to see and start playing, I got up to level 8 so far and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

I'll warn you right now not to make the mistake I did and go straight for the best ship in-game money could buy over getting the best gear you can first. My ship went boom many times.

Not bad so far, other than the guys in the gigantic space fortresses camping in the second beginner map ganking all the noobs in our tiny ships.

Gathering the money to upgrade my sad little space boat is sorta slow, but it's my first day and my space refinery isn't fully operational yet.

Is there a clan for us in the Venus company yet?

Yeah the guys in FE gear (Full Elite) ganking all the newbies is kind of annoying but once you get your skylab refineries up and running money starts coming in a lot faster.

I'll join the clan now, and I'll hold on to extra money in case anyone needs some to join.

You can switch but it costs Uridium which is quite valuable. I'd suggest starting a new account if you havent got very far yet.

Each server is independent of each other. I found this out when I switched from US East to Global America. The upside was I got free premium access for an unknown amount of time, its nice.

How do you tell what server you're in? Both accounts I started never gave me any selection for what server to be in and I'd like to know if I'm in the wrong one before I get into it and don't want to restart.

You choose with the account creation. Its a drop down menu underneath the spot where you make your password and stuff.

For me, I'm actually using the link to DarkObrit through Google Chromes app list. Dark Orbit is one of the games you can install to your homepage so I did that a few months back but I never played it much till AA mentioned it. Anyway when I go there it literally allows me to select any of the ~30 servers and keeps all the ones that I have an account on a different color and at the top of the list. As for the rest of you I am unsure how you can determine your server location >_>

I'm trying to finish all the winter quests right now and I'm down to all the ones that require an outfit (party) of 2 or more members, so someone come play with me! You don't even need to be where I am, I just need to be in an outfit so I can finish the quests.

If you accept AA's invite it auto selects the server for you, you just have to choose the correct faction. I never even had an option of which server to select.

So ive been playing and its fun, but it didn't seem to save any of the stuff i did yesterday... when i logged back in today i was level 1 again from 5 and all of the quests i had done were back in the quest book. Anyone else had this problem?

Wow. Scratch that. I was logged into the wrong account. /facepalm

Has anyone else noticed that when you pick up quests they usually don't show up in your quest book on the play screen? I can still do them but it usually won't track them. Seems to be a massive amount of lag when it comes to picking up and tracking quests.

I dont have nearly as much lag on the quests as that, but it takes a second for the page to update them then I have them in game. Its about 5-10 second pause for me before it updates in game. Perhaps its just server lag? I have no idea where Global America 3 is located.

Well, i can live with it since I can still complete the quests just fine. Could I get an invite for the clan now?

When I click start, a black screen pops up but nothing shows up.

Do you have no-script or anything like that installed in your browser? Or maybe you don't have the right plugin for the game.

God their support team is awful. I registered and started playing the game through the app in the chrome store a while back which I just found out now they don't actually own.

I cant actually log into the game any other way then through this app, and when I tried the forgotten password function it never sends it to me. I'm basically locked out of being able to secure my account right now which is making me not want to play (as much as I do want to play)

If I have to start a new account because they can't help me do something as simple as changing my registered email address to what it should actually be, and help me make sure my account is safe and protected, then I'm going to be quite sad indeed because I'll probably quit. $20 and 160+ hours of my life down the drain.

Yerp basically I'm boned, I was told by one of the forum mods (after 3 days mind you) that if an account is made through the app, there is no other way for it to log in.

So basically: Cant change my name, cant change my email address, cant change my password, and I have no idea if the app is even trustworthy.

So its either proceed with the same account and forget about the possible dangers, or jump ship onto a new account and lose everything.

Sigh.

Finally got someone who knew what they were talking about through support. Indeed I am boned because I registered through the App, and that is the only way I'll ever be able to play unless I create a new account. Though they assured me that the app itself is safe and I have nothing to worry about, I simply don't have access to certain functions I normally would like changing my user name/email/password.

I've also been getting an error when trying to log in, for over a day now.

I made a second account (not through the chrome app), I think I see the error you guys were talking about. It happened to me a few times as well, but I would just hit back and try again and after 2-3 attempts it would usually work.

i use firefox and seem to have no probs logging in?

I was using FF at the time, I only use chrome for when I need to use the app.

It's actually an error when i try to select the server, after logging in. But I've made countless attempts with the same result.

I managed to log in! But now there's another issue: I'm definitely getting credits out of nowhere. I had 3.3 million logging in after a roughly 2-day break. I had MAYBE a million last time i played. Also i have 212 energy for the galaxy gate generator! There's NO WAY I had that much 2 days ago. Where is this stuff coming from?

the 200 extra energy was a gift they gave out to all players a few days ago along with a 7 day 50% honor booster for free.

As far as the credits are concerned.. I have no idea, you've stumped me. But!! There is a way you can find out, the game tracks every single one of your earnings. Go to the uridium tab, there you will see banking and balance on the left hand side. Hit balance, that's basically your account history.

Lists what you sell, aliens you destroy, boxes you pick up, when you started lab upgrades, what you sold, and has a + and - for both the Creds and Uri you got for all those things.

I managed to log in that one time yesterday, but I'm getting errors again. Going on 10 attempts now, still no go.

I get those errors at home, but never at work... using firefox in both places.

I'm not sure if it is a result of history settings... the work computer never tracks history whereas my home one does.

its a shame u guys are having so much trouble i have all my settings saved and automatic log in and never seem to have an issue at least bot in the past 2 weeks :P

My problems were less troublesome for a while... i'd usually get one error and be able to log in after that.... but today i've been trying to log in all day and I can't get in. I get 3 errors, then it locks me out because it says i've been getting my password wrong (i haven't). I've tried doing it 3 or 4 times now it just keeps giving me errors and locking me out...

I think it's possible that it's the server. I was having problems in U.S 3 so i tried a different server and had no problems. I then tried the U.S server and got errors.

What do I know tho.

Is it worth trying to get the issue addressed through the forums? I've heard the support team is notoriously bad. Which is odd, because they must rake in a TON of money.

Noone else is having these issues?
