Need a DM for cb dnd (in Off-topic)

Looking for a dungeon master so we can play dungeons and dragons in a cb chat room once a week at a set time. CM me if youre interested in DMing or if youd be interested in playing.

I wanna play, I've been saying this for weeks ever since the Idea was first brought up..

Is this something one could play with basically no knowledge of D&D outside of pc versions of AD&D, like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights? I've always wanted to play the "tabletop" version but never really pursued it.

If you run the game on Friday or Saturday, I might be able to participate. Any other time and I'll likely be busy.

Badfish - in my first IRL D&D game, I had no experience except with NWN. It gives you enough of a grasp of how gameplay works that you can pick up from there. :) NWN isn't half bad for a D&D-to-PC conversion.

Friday or Saturday nights are the only time I could do it too and yes 3.5. Anyone wanna dm?

I would also play, most times are good for me. However I would need them to be the same weekly.

Who ran CyberGen? Fex? If so, you might be able to bribe him to DM...

I volunteer Gun, because he deserves to suffer.

I don't think I'd want my first D&D experience to be with Gun as the DM. Maybe after a few years i'll be a little more desensitized to meteors sent by the gods crushing my characters, or an unexplained alien strain of bacteria making me grow tentacles, causing the townsfolk to lynch me.

Actually, I'm kind of interested in trying to DM.


I've never done it before, but I've been the player in many D&D games. I'd just need time to make up a world and such. I'll have the books in PDF form on my laptop, so I'm prepared in that aspect.

Just figured it would be a good "first time" thing. Let me know if you guys would be up for letting me try.

I don't know who Rock Banhammers is, but she better be hot. Those alien diseases can be scary.

OB I'm all up for letting you DM, I just wanna play. I too have never played a real game of D&D but I've been wanting to for awhile, most of my knowledge of D&D comes from Baulder's Gate, NWN, and Icewind Dale. I also have a crap ton of the books/players manuals in pdf format that I was studying up on when I really wanted to get into it.

I would enjoy DMing again, but I would not be consistent with the time.

Somehow I doubt tag teaming would work. But I'm up for whoever to DM. And if we get enough players we can get back on vent or mumble or whatever to speed things up.
