Hi, I have some pictures I want to have hosted somewhere.
Now I know of the existence of the ones I'll mention below but I want to know which one is really good and reliable. My demands are:
- free of charge
- images should stay uploaded until I remove them (if possible)
- images should be able to be at least a few mega pixels in size
Anyway these 2 I know of:
Imageshack.com
Tinypic.com
flickr or photobucket are also good ones, not sure how they work for size but i have never had an image removed. they are free as well.

Another vote for Photobucket
Google Picasa
max image size: 20MB
storage size: 1GB
@novice: From the imgur FAQ:
The maximum non-animated file size you can upload is 10MB. However, if the image is over 1MB then it will automatically be compressed or resized to 1MB, for better viewing on the net. The maximum animated file size (both GIF and PNG) is 2MB.
Resizes to 1MB o.O didn't know of that before.

Perhaps google picasa would be a good one for me, especially since I've got a google phone as well... :)
BTW: Thanks for wasting my remaining work hours novice. ;)

hmm, picasa works with a downloaded program which uploads images. Not really the convenience I'd want...

Do not use Photobucket if you're going to have a large number of people viewing the images. I always, always see "bandwidth exceeded" in place of Photobucket images if they are anything more than privately viewed.

There you can upload with a web browser. Never used that program.
I should have checked... wonder if it's the same deal for the pro accounts

http://min.us/ makes uploading pics easy with a simple drag and drop model. Not sure of the file size limit though.
bikini's while pgish aren't exactly work safe...
Especially if you work in IT and the fat guy across the room wonders about your preferences.
Hey I'm that fat guy across the room in IT and I don't care a thing about anyones preferences!
