I have been reading the forums the past few months, and an idea popped in my head with the latest controversy regarding how cb runs. A few ideas immediately popped into my head: How can we make cb fresh again?
cb3? No thanks. Put the torches down... I know the reasons.
Eliminate the NCB/NUB? Would anyone ever catch the top players? What is the motivation?
A reset? People that put large amounts of USD into this game would never support it and rightfully so.
I look back during the days where cb1/cb2 co-existed, and it was too easy to stack your account on one game by padding them with exchanges from the other. I'd get 6 mil cb1 for a mil of cb2 within minutes of posting about it. However, in a sense, the community was split and the overall community, both games combined, suffered.
How do we get people interested again?
My (EXTREMELY rough draft) idea: CB 2.1.
A version of CB that runs alongside cb2, similar to what cb1 did. There's a twist though:
No transfers of any kind between players.
The game runs almost like a glorified tournament system. Everyone starts from scratch, and the only way to be the best is simply to put the time/work/strategy in. At the end of x amount of time, winners are determined, a prize system of some sort that can be credited to the winner's cb2 account is put into place, and the process starts all over again. Each session can have different sets of rules, much like tournaments.
I have more thoughts on it, but rather than waste more time going into it, I'll let everyone rip it apart, whether it be bandwidth allocation that would never happen, flaws in the system, or other things I haven't thought of in the 15 minutes that this has been in my head :)
Just figured we could talk about something other than novice for a change today ;)
