Suggestion: Mageseeker to target RoBF (in General)

iBananco [Blue Army] March 9 2010 10:44 AM EST

I shamelessly admit deny a huge amount of personal gain if this happens.

Pwned March 9 2010 10:49 AM EST

would be pointless, you would need to add a lot to CTH because its ridiculous how the RoBf gives so much evasion..... probably stacked with AoI and Dbs

iBananco [Blue Army] March 9 2010 10:50 AM EST

You do understand how poorly evasion stacks with itself, right?

Solare March 9 2010 10:51 AM EST

No. Unless the wearer of the RoBF is a mage, this is unreasonable.
Though for my particular strategy, it wouldn't make a bit of difference to me.

Nice insult, your thinking of someone else as I'm no idiot.

Forgot to check your gear but you could do it with your weapon.

It was hardly an insult. It was merely a rhetorical question.

Forgot to check your gear but you could do it with your weapon.

Not sure what you mean by this.

Pwned March 9 2010 11:02 AM EST

LOl, thats not a rhetorical question. That was a poopy attempt to insult my intelligence.

Pwned March 9 2010 11:03 AM EST

Whatever Bananaco you can have it I'll leave your thread. Nice.

Let me get this straight: you're saying that not understanding how evasion stacks makes one unintelligent?
One way or another, I'd like to keep this discussion civil, so if you felt insulted, I apologize. I'm still not quite sure what you mean by the second half of your post, though.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] March 9 2010 11:07 AM EST

I don't see why not, most RoBF teams have PL anyway, MSKs could use a little buff IMO, I say go for it.

JS has a wooden leg and is pushy

winner winner March 9 2010 3:04 PM EST

and what do you suggest happens when there is both DD and a RoBF on a team?

iBananco [Blue Army] March 9 2010 3:06 PM EST

RoBF treated as the level of the tattoo.

winner winner March 9 2010 3:10 PM EST

Then anyone with a decent sized MSK will be able to beat RoBF teams. RoBF isn't anywhere near a DD. Why should they be targeted like one?

ScY March 9 2010 3:10 PM EST

If this ever gets implemented, as part of the change, Bananco has to switch to a compound bow for balance.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] March 9 2010 3:10 PM EST

Why would a MAGE seeker target a giant burning cape? I don't really see the point of this. If anything it would nerf the mage seeker.

winner winner March 9 2010 3:13 PM EST

It wouldn't nerf the MSK, it would let MSK teams beat pretty much every RoBF team out there.

QBJohnnywas March 9 2010 3:14 PM EST

I would pay for this idea to become reality, although maybe only a little bit!

iBananco [Blue Army] March 9 2010 3:30 PM EST

That's the idea. Counters and whatnot. You can still win if you invest heavily in DBs.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] March 9 2010 3:53 PM EST

I don't see how this would help the mage seeker. You could use a RoBF to make Mgs target it instead of your massive mage which is more of a threat. Plus with its evasion stacking potential a mere 800k invested in evasion (not even boosted by items) would have have an effect of around 300 due to range multipliers and the extra 100+ innate evasion of the RoBF.

winner winner March 9 2010 3:57 PM EST

It would help the MSK because most RoBF teams have some sort of wall to reduce damage so the RoBF minion can live until melee. If the MSK directly targets the RoBF minion, then the RoBF minion will be dead very quickly.

QBJohnnywas March 9 2010 4:34 PM EST

My biggest weakness is the RBF. The mageseeker itself at the size of mine doesn't need help, but my team could do with something that works against the RBF, other than big AC, which doesn't really work with a large dex tank like mine.

It really would not be a nerf to the mageseeker.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] March 9 2010 4:53 PM EST

Idk seems to me it would be. High evasion with PL walls. But I guess with enough + evasion is better than high ac walls.

Wraithlin March 9 2010 6:00 PM EST

I would absolutly love this idea. My RoBF wearer is my evasion minion, and I have a PL wall aside from him.

So personally I would get a huge buff.

But I also think this is a very bad idea, mageseekers should target mages, they are most likely to not have good defenses vs it, whereas the RoBF minion might (as in my case).

How is this any different from training a base decay on a wall?

How is that a buff? Did you not have kill slots in front before (I am assuming your NCB plan)?

If you had kill slots in front before, then the Msk just bypasses them, targeting your robf minion, thus a 'nerf' (speaking in terms of nerf->buff). If you were planning to put your evasion minion in front, then it would have gotten hit by tanks first anyway, so the Msk (specializing in targeting it) would also be a nerf (because you could put a base DD spell on something else and have the msk target that first, thus creating a killslot), or if you were only two minions, thus benefiting from the evasion (other minion is a PL wall?) and not having room for a kill slot, then there is no change to your strategy, and the Msk BUFF (because it is a buff) wouldnt affect you.

Sorry if this is trollish, but this just struck me as peculiar.

Wraithlin March 10 2010 2:01 AM EST

base decay on a wall can get huge damage to your own wall from AMF.

huge buff to me because currently the mageseeker would not target by RoBF evasion minion and now it would. I put mage shield on my RoBF minion to decrease magic damage even more, so no way to get mageseeker to target me.

iBananco [Blue Army] March 10 2010 1:12 PM EST

Base SG on wall has no drawbacks, though.

QBJohnnywas March 10 2010 1:29 PM EST

Wraithlin's RBF team is pretty much the only RBF team around the top 50 I can beat. Giving me some targeting towards the RBF as well would just make it simpler.
