Is there a way of turning it off? what was originally just annoying I have noticed is actually interfering with ability to switch characters, which while doing a tournament has made it *very* annoying :/

Myth, the fight feed does not interfere with that, that's the normal character selecting...

Would still love to be able to kill it dead.
It's useless _to_me_ anyway.
Sick: you don't interact with folks here much do you?
I like knowing when clanmates are fighting without going to recent battles > all, I like knowing when my opponents are fighting even more.
I've yet to hear a new user talk about it, but my hope in suggesting it was that a new user would click and discover what strats up higher look like and that other people actually play the game.

My gf was excited when she saw herself on the Fight Feed. She's a new user.
I use it myself if there's someone I want to farm, to see when they start fighting.
It's not useless by any means, you just have to know how to take advantage of the feature.
on that note, when i get up at 4 in the morning to burn my ba so that i don't miss any during my ncb run, it is nice to see that i am not the only fool awake on the planet! it does make the game feel more alive to me especially since i have had chat off for years.
btw, doesn't the code still work to turn it off?

Nope, the booklet stopped working when Jon tweaked it.

"I like knowing when clanmates are fighting without going to recent battles > all, I like knowing when my opponents are fighting even more."
Yeah, you see, the problem is, it only displays ONE battle per second tops, even if there were dozens.
So, no, you CAN'T really guarantee you'll see when your clanmates or opponents are fighting or are being attacked, and worse, you can never tell when YOU are being attacked.
I hate to repeat myself, but _FOR_ME_ it has had next to zero practical use until now. Seriously, ZERO. Nada. Zilch. Nothing. Dead weight. USELESS.
I want to be able to set it to show, for instance, only battles that had as target clan members, or only battles involving me, or only battles involving people from my favourites list (be it as attacker or defender or both)... or better said, any combination of those things mentioned.
And most importantly, I want it to display ALL those battles I selected it to display, not a randomly picked one every second or so.
Until you can do that with the fight feed, I stand by my option : burn it with fire.

P.S. I have never seen myself in the "fight feed" list. Not one single time. EVER.
You aren't in the fight feed because your character has a ' in the name.

I'm new, and as OB has already mentioned, I love the fight feed. It's fun seeing yourself and knowing that others can see that you're playing and winning (or not) too.
I could, conceivably, see how if can be annoying to some players and they would like to have the option to turn it off. But I think it's a neat and unique feature of the site.
I love the feed. Even though I don't "use" it, just having it sitting there adds a certain dynamism to the game.

Its really nice and I appreciate you in taking the time effort in creating such a script. Thank you sir.

Sickone, you really have never seen yourself in the fight feed? Either your blind or you don't burn much BA. I see my self dozens of times just burning a set of 160.
Just for clarity, I didn't write it. I believe Verifex did the actual work...
it does make the game feel more alive to me especially since i have had chat off for years.
That's part of the idea. It brings people more in to the activity of the game. Makes you realize there's other stuff going on.
btw, doesn't the code still work to turn it off?
You can always just set your browser id to be one of a mobile variety (Opera Mini works well).
I believe Verifex did the actual work...
Indeed, it was a Fex/Jon feature.
