What is the highest number of players the game ever had?

I'm from the 2006 batch and I'm almost sure there was at least 300 players.

315 is the highest known recorded I believe, it's found on Shade's weekly economic reports.

There were. Active players has been steadily decreasing over time.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] December 2 2009 10:54 PM EST

dang, we really do need to find a way to draw more active players..

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 2 2009 11:51 PM EST

or keep the ones we do get. some combination of both would probably be best!

There are SOOOOO many games out there, it's just a matter of getting noticed, and once noticed being able to show off how sexy this game is for being text based. Also, getting the majority of people through the rough patch on how to play... there is so much depth to this game. I suggested to Shade a while back that a youtube video tutorial might just be something that could really help. Something that is very new player friendly and details the game fundamentals, how to use Help!, and how to make the most out of their NUB and what to expect after it is finished.

Not punishing people for NOT making the most of their first 6 months, and not making it so attractive to sell out after the first 6 months would also be a good idea if you want to keep much more players active past the initial 6 months...
