So I'm up pretty high for my MPR (I think) in score. Although I'm not sure I understand why it works the way it does.
Someone much lower PR/score than me continues to fight me, and it takes him 2 turns to beat me. I win, and then afterward he wins (With my minions weakened/dead). How does this result in me losing like 5,000 score per loss? That doesn't make sense. If someone loses before they can beat my weakened team, why would they win anything? That's nonsensical.
Because they are wasting BA to fight you, and you get free exp and money from them losing to you. Trust me, it's better for you.

I don't mind them getting EXP for beating me, but why lower my score? I mean, I won...
It's certainly frustrating, however gaining less score than you lose is kinda key to the current systems functionality.

I don't mind losing a ton of score to lower ranked players when I lose to them, that's how a score system works. I understand that. My confusion is just over the point that pretty much any lower character (Within reason) can fight me 2-5 times to beat me once and somehow that still results in me losing score. That's the part that doesn't quite make sense to me.

To clarify: If I was losing from full hp/stats/minions 1 in 5 times it would be fine, that's how scoring works.
The situation I'm seeing is:
Player Z kills 1 minion and loses
Player Z kills 1 more minions and loses again
Player Z kills 2 remaining minions and wins
After losing to me TWICE, for some reason I lose score as if he has beaten me (He hasn't, it took 2 deaths to weaken my character to a point where he could).
I don't see why it matters at all. Score isn't that important to your character and means nothing when ranking.

"functionality"
Remember to put that in quotes when describing the current score system

If your score is lowered, then fighting someone with a higher score (and higher challenge bonus) causes their score to lower more due to the gap between your scores, which decreases your challenge bonus.
So yes, having your score lowered DOES have a negative effect on your rewards.

I was under the impression that score meant something. Like, perhaps, it was your score. As in, your rank is determined by your score. Or if my score is much higher than my PR I'm doing well. Please correct me if I'm wrong and score means absolutely nothing, because if so then I'm playing this game completely wrong.
Sure, but when their score is 3 times your pr I doubt your going to lower it enough to matter. Hence the reason I said it hardly matters at all.

The point is these people are 1/3 my score and docking me for 5,000 score after losing to me. They LOSE, and then they come back when one or two of my minions or dead and win. I don't see how that affects MY score at all! Why do I lose score when someone beats half of my army with their full army? Doesn't make sense.

Score decides your challenge bonus. Which is important for growing your character. Like everyone said earlier, if people are taking 2 or 3 BA to beat you, then you should send them a thank you letter.

Dunno, I guess I just like my score reflecting a score that I have earned. EXP is good too I guess.
exp is far more important that score.

I have a bunch of people attacking me from 3x my score too. Weird. I guess it probably has something to do with clans.
if a ten year old girl were to drop ya, it'd be embarrassing whether or not it took 10 tries, no? :P
you also have to consider their score, it depends on how low their score is on how much it takes from your score. take a 0 score retrain built to just beat you, your score will drop a lot more than 5k so be thankful
