Is anyone having problem with the forge? (in General)

I am forging an amulet of AC [25, 5].

I heat it 10 mins:

"You can feel heat radiating from the tongs as you hold your Amulet of AC
You heat your Amulet of AC
your Amulet of AC is cool to the touch
Working on An Amulet of AC [0] (+4) (Help: Amulet of AC for instructions)"

I heat it 10 mins again:

no update on the log.

I heat it 5 mins:

your Amulet of AC glows bright cherry-red
You heat your Amulet of AC
your Amulet of AC glows a dull cherry-red
You heat your Amulet of AC
You can feel heat radiating from the tongs as you hold your Amulet of AC
You heat your Amulet of AC
your Amulet of AC is cool to the touch
Working on An Amulet of AC [0] (+4) (Help: Amulet of AC for instructions)

Anyways, the log doesn't seem to be working properly...

Might've been lag, couldn't tell you how many times it screwed me over from not updating, and me thinking it didn't register the last time, so i do it one more, and it's 1 too many, so i end up overheating it.

Shouldn't the dwarf come out and castigate you though if you overheat the item ? Unless the dwarf was edited out there, he was a no-show.

you were probably forging right at a mini cache-flush it's happened to me before on a pair of TGs

I'd suggest not forging AoACs anyway.
