Training sets (in Changelog)

AdminJonathan June 2 2008 8:22 AM EDT

Verifex's training sets have been added to the Train page.

This is a feature for Supporters.

IndependenZ June 2 2008 8:32 AM EDT

Alright, thanks. Those are quite handy :D

MonkeyMandate [Wasting Time] June 2 2008 8:59 AM EDT

i can't wait until i start fighting again, as i love them

Brakke Bres [Ow man] June 2 2008 9:08 AM EDT

sweet!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 9:30 AM EDT

I can't quite seem to get it to work. I set Evasion for Max, then saved my training set, but when I go back into it, nothing seems to have been saved? :/

Brakke Bres [Ow man] June 2 2008 9:33 AM EDT

see the little load button up top?

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] June 2 2008 9:37 AM EDT

Go Forgers! WooT!

On another note, good job Fexy!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 2 2008 9:50 AM EDT

woot! thanks jon.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 9:53 AM EDT

Henk, nope, I've got no load button on the Train page. :/

QBJohnnywas June 2 2008 9:54 AM EDT

It's not working for me either. And my question is: Little load button? Where? Not seeing one.

(Admittedly I'm on IE 6 at work. I'll check when I get home on FF)

Shadowsparkle [Jago] June 2 2008 9:59 AM EDT

Nice change, I like it :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] June 2 2008 10:06 AM EDT

it wasn't working for me either, even after a refresh, but after restarting my browser it works.

QBJohnnywas June 2 2008 10:15 AM EDT

Yeah, closed down and re-started and now it works!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 10:16 AM EDT

Yeah IE6 for me at work as well... :/

AdminNightStrike June 2 2008 10:23 AM EDT

So I'm guessing that means this change is not IE6 compatible?

QBJohnnywas June 2 2008 10:24 AM EDT

Well, it's working for me now. But as stated above it did require me to shut down IE and start all over again. A simple refresh did NOT do the trick, like it normally does for other changes.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 10:43 AM EDT

I tried that and it seemed not to work.

I'd forgotten that I've got a work related site still open. I'll close that in a sec and try again! :P

Usul [CHOAM] June 2 2008 10:51 AM EDT

it works fine for me. Very neat tool. I have created 2 sets so far, no problem in loading.

You just need to right click and refresh just the training pane. Then the new script would load properly.

Xiaz on Hiatus June 2 2008 12:01 PM EDT

Opera 9.27, works fine.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 12:07 PM EDT

Works fine at home, didn't work at all for me at work on IE6. When I saved my set at work, I wasn't even asked to name it. :/

AdminJonathan June 2 2008 12:18 PM EDT

right click, reload _just the right frame_

Lord Bob June 2 2008 12:23 PM EDT

Excellent change! Thanks Jon.

QBOddBird June 2 2008 12:26 PM EDT

A new player in Chat is unable to hire new minions, could this potentially be because of Train page edits?

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] June 2 2008 1:13 PM EDT

I'm able to hire a new minion on Walking Dead which only has 3 minions as of right now.

Talion June 2 2008 1:13 PM EDT

Great Feature! Yeah!

QBOddBird June 2 2008 2:14 PM EDT

Also, I can't seem to save training sets. >.>

Not a big deal to me, since it simply means no change in how I do things, but I thought I'd put it out there.

Bull3t F4c3 June 2 2008 2:49 PM EDT

I still have no idea how to use this feature. what the heck does it do?

AdminQBVerifex June 2 2008 2:56 PM EDT

I'll make a video on how to use it later if it will help you all out. :)

{cb1}Linguala June 2 2008 3:30 PM EDT

Greatly appreciated Verifex. You are GODly.

AdminQBVerifex June 2 2008 4:25 PM EDT

Also, it is quite possible that this doesn't work on IE6 as I do not have IE6 on any machines to test with.

Also: Upgrade to IE7, you are part of the problem with spyware/viruses by running an old out-of-date browser with possible security vulnerabilities.

Lord Bob June 2 2008 4:59 PM EDT

Wow, this is awesome. What a time saver. Honestly, one of the best things added to CB in a long time.

Yukk June 2 2008 5:05 PM EDT

It doesn't work with training 1/4 archery and Max in ST since ST gets trained and archery loses out.

AdminQBVerifex June 2 2008 5:08 PM EDT

Yukk, I've tried the same thing on my character and it works fine. Give me a step-by-step of what you are doing, and I'll see if I can help.

Greyfeld June 2 2008 5:33 PM EDT

And this thing is supposed to do what, exactly?

QBRanger June 2 2008 6:17 PM EDT

It was not doing anything till just now.

Now I see how it works.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 7:08 PM EDT

It doesn't work with "Train by level".

The training set remembers the XP required when you originally saved the set, which makes it's useless after using once. ;)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 7:08 PM EDT

Opps! Not wanting to seem negative there! I think this is awesome! ;)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 2 2008 7:28 PM EDT

there is no situation I can think of where saving a set with train by level would be useful...

Wizard'sFirstRule June 2 2008 9:06 PM EDT

this is a handy tool if I want someone to account-sit for me (which is illegal in 73 countries and all 62 states [ED: I know there is only something like 52 or 53 states in America] and all neutral waters). I don't see myself using it much as a SFBM - I train with varied amount depending on whether I am ahead of SickOne in FB trained. With tanks, I assume you want much more tinkering, esp with junction and archery.

Relic June 2 2008 11:28 PM EDT

I get a javascript error that pops up stating something about a connection error in Firefox 2.0

Relic June 2 2008 11:35 PM EDT

I see the exact message below after setting my train by XP amounts, and hitting the Save Training Set button.

Unable to connect to CB.
errorThrown: undefined
textStatus: error

It does not do anything else, just a javascript alert is coming up with that message.

Timberwolf June 2 2008 11:40 PM EDT

I'll throw my $.02 in and say this is a very nice addition for those of us with multi minion teams.

Thank you Jonathan and Verifex.

AdminJonathan June 2 2008 11:41 PM EDT

Load doesn't work for me either after the latest Verifex updates. Doh.

RVT June 2 2008 11:55 PM EDT

I'm getting the same error message as Relic.

AdminQBVerifex June 3 2008 12:55 AM EDT

As soon as Jon comes back it should be fixed :)

TheHatchetman June 3 2008 1:07 AM EDT

/me adds another $

AdminJonathan June 3 2008 1:26 AM EDT

fixed

QBsutekh137 June 3 2008 8:52 AM EDT

Thanks for the hard work, guys!

Now, if I only had a reason to train! *smile*

QBOddBird June 3 2008 9:25 AM EDT

Very, very nice. Fex showed me how to get it to work last night and <3.
