Why not have a cap on how many CPs can be subtracted from someone's net score in a day? I'm thinking like 2k or something reasonably high, so that those who don't spend much BA won't benefit by being able to stay positive, while hardly earning any points. But those who grind out almost all of their refreshed BA aren't in the negative every time they log on and grinding out 100 BA or so to get their net score up to 6...
Of course, being in the dead zone myself (with a specialized strategy no less!), I am somewhat biased on this matter. But I would really like to know what others think of this...
This would make singleton clans the norm...

2k does seem reasonable. I don't like the days where I make 3.5k CP and I have a 200 net score.

I don't see singleton clans becoming the norm for this... This would allow the players that are forced into solitude due to shoddy net scores to join a normal clan and actually be productive... I don't see many singleton clans getting farmed for more than 2k points /day...

Inherently the problem to me is the scoring system. It is impossible for many of the very active clan members to achieve any challenge bonus because of their size--PR. Therefore, they are better off fighting down, maximizing clan points, and getting as large a clan bonus as possible. Everyone should know this by now.
I think if the scoring system was updated the clan "dead zone" would fix itself. Once people could achieve a bonus that is better then the clan bonus they are getting now their would be incentive to fight at a more appropriate level.
I am not sure if this has been looked at before or if this is blasphemous to anyone. What if the challenge bonus system was based of solely off PR instead of score/PR. For example to get 100% CB you have to fight at 130% PR and for every 1% under that you are you lose 2% CB. Therefore it would give very real benefit to fight around your PR. This would allow people to keep their 100% CB much longer and also benefit those with a strong lasting stat. Additionally, it might create more completion at the top, because the top people would be better of fighting each other rather then being in the same clan. Lastly, the bonus would still reduce as you get higher, because there will not be people with a PR 130% indefinitely.
I would like to address the issue of creating a system where people at the top have the ability to fight in a real rewards system. I have no clue how boring it would be to fight people at half my PR but I would imagine that it would not be very fulfilling or challenging. Hopefully, a system like this would get people at the top more active against each other. Which in turn may cause more competition and that may cause some some of these talented CBers to try and explore new options and strategies.
Lastly, I am not saying that all top players farm people half of their PR. But a large enough portion fight--farm--very far down on the totem pole.
Thanks for your time.

Just pointing out that now that 2 opponents have gotten past even my defensive setup, I'll soon be able to keep a maximum of 500-1000, while usually sticking ~250-750 net CPS, if I fight only 3-pointers, stop fighting while being farmed, miss no refreshed BA, and buy all buyable BA... That's just sickly... And I know there are many others in my boat...
Is the RoBF the only way to conserve clan points at all?
If moving onto FB attracts a lot of new players you might find the problems of the dead zone more or less alleviated in a few months.

good point there RD ^_^
I've always been one to plan and end result, without paying attention to the road there... This is a path i neglected entirely.
But would there be a drawback that I'm not seeing to capping max CP's lost? Only thing I'm seeing is active clan members that are currently farmed for more points than a cap will benefit, and clan members that don't get farmed as badly will actually have to earn points to stay ahead...
As it stands, a NUB logging in once a day and uing the 160 BA they have with the 360 they can buy for the day, along with the 20-50 BA that will spawn in the time they spend the others can be more effective fighting any target they want, as opposed to the guy ~2m score that misses 2-5 refreshes a week and buys his BA most days, spending only on 3-pt clan people...
Participation is key, no?
