AC (in General)

BootyGod January 5 2008 6:19 PM EST

I want it on my mage items. Give me. I won't be dropping this.

I want that 24 or so AC from my mage items. Completely needless slap to the face there. IS there a problem with having items with a 0 base AC and having their + add? A glitch or something where it was simpler to just get rid of it?

An explanation would be nice, perhaps.

But I really would like to see that AC come back. Perhaps we don't want heavily armored mages, but is it fair that you can get 200 or so AC on a ToA tank but my mage can't reach a reasonable 150?

*growls evilly, then blinks cutely*

Gimme.

It's to make mages have to use DM to help with GA, and to ensure that if all that evasion for some reason fails they get hit HARD.

I've love to see the 18 plus I have into my gloves add AC... I'd have a magic familiar with no penalties and 109 AC

BootyGod January 5 2008 6:27 PM EST

Yeah, well, get this everybody a MAGE is NOT a minion using DD, HP AND EVASION!!!! Not EVERY mage has evasion. And I love the shift key.

But I want the point to get across to you all. Do not conform this game on the assumption that everyone uses evasion. I don't and I pull top 35 regularly with a sub par team with sub par networth. It's not necessary to penalize all mages because some use a stat.

Jon, should I give up and just train evasion? Is that what is happening here? Another tank team passed me today. Owned by none other than our famous GB. And why? MsK. And why does this matter? No evasion.

I understand the penalties for that. I'll get hit. But I do NOT understand why, when I take the penalty for not having a skill, I ALSO must take the penalties for other teams using it.

Solution? More exclusive items. Oh? You train BL? None of this item. You train ST? None of this. You train DD? None of this.

Etc, etc.

Danke ;P

im sorry GW but i got to do it.

WAAAA! /cry

im sorry if i don't take your post seriously. but the format you wrote it in dictates a response of lesser quality

QBRanger January 5 2008 6:55 PM EST

I agree completely.

I have posted about this numerous times and nothing yet has been done.

I can see no AC for the Corn, but the NS, COI, and AG's certainly need AC.

DH January 5 2008 6:56 PM EST

i actually agree with you GW. sorry i was mean lol. ya i like ac for mages too...i just couldn't help it

Flamey January 5 2008 7:39 PM EST

GW, not using Evasion on a Mage is like not training DX on a Tank. So, yes, you have to use evasion.

"So, yes, you have to use evasion."

And all this time, I thought that Carnage Blender was a strategy game...

Heh, shows what I know. :)

Unfortunately, when something is so powerful for the expenditure of xp, one almost has to use it.

Evasion is one such thing.

It is so powerful, even in melee rounds those without USD backed weapons miss the top 5 or so evasions, perhaps even more.

I got along just fine w/o evasion until i hit the dead zone... i was whomping on Single ROBF users....

Evasion is just an added something to take care of ARCHERS

Hyrule Castle, you are using an RoBF now and you have evasion trained.

muon [The Winds Of Fate] January 8 2008 4:24 PM EST

Can I just introduce another element to this discussion?

If a mage pretty much _must_ train evasion to be effective, and if the game mechanics are that which are forcing this to be the case, then Jon _needs_ to give DD familiars some innate evasion.

You can equip DB's on them (if you have enough money to afford them \-:) but you cannot train evasion on them - and this needs to be fixed (if we agree that with the current mechanics, mages are _expected_ to have evasion).

Just my 2 cents...

Sickone January 8 2008 4:31 PM EST

How about adding a new defensive enchantment granting 50% to 66% of level as evasion level for the whole team, with the usual on-more-than-three-minions penalities ?
*evil grin*

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 8 2008 4:33 PM EST

Familiars lack evasion so that they can add another layer to the ro sham bo game that is CB. A five minion familiar team can beat an ELB based archery team if setup correctly, but gets slaughtered by those using an MsK. I expect this is intentional.

BootyGod January 8 2008 4:36 PM EST

Is it also intentional that the same ELB team can escape most of that with a proper wall and a MgS? Or that the SoD and exshot combo is garbage, letting the superior tank damage so right through ANY defense the mage could be using (unless solo, and using evasion).
