Strategy Help: Oduten (in General)

Simple question. Would AMF benefit me more than DM?

Mages are killing me. Just curious if you all think AMF would help me more than DM. I like DM. But most teams using GA and AS to win with are RoS which pretty much negates my rather small AMF...

Get back to me.

The thing is, your DM isn't big enough to be worth anything at the level you're fighting. Most people aren't as reliant at this level on their enchantments, and if they are have pretty large spells that aren't easily dispelled.

Would you benefit from an AMF? One the same size as the DM? Dunno, but I prefer it personally; it's kind of nice seeing somebody hurt themselves as they're trying to hurt you. And smaller chunks of damage can add up quite nicely...

GA + AMF + AS = mage pwnage

I agree with both posts. And, unlike DM, AMF can be quite useful even against spells far higher.... right now I'm leaning towards retraining AMF. Any other suggestions or insights before I drop a whole lot of exp off my character...?

At your level I wouldn't want to give general strat advice. I think it all depends on the other chars around you.
1 question why are you using a FF?

A kill slot is a kill slot. Just be happy I haven't made up my mind about re-inking to halidon.

While we're on Oduten, can someone give me a valid reason to use RoS or ToE over a familiar?

P.S. Remember, if the RoS doesn't add enough HP to make it 4 rounds, it's worthless. If ThE ToE doesn't reduce enough damage to make it 4 rounds, it's worthless. I need kill slots. The only reason I'm hearing reasons is because both RoS and ToE would help more again mages.

Thanks :)

If the ToE is big enough, it can reduce damage up to 60%, which is more than a kill slot would. So I think a ToE would be better against most teams that do not use an elven bows.

Against elven bows, you extra kill slot is much better because you are not using Evasion.

So if you want to be good against elven bows, keep your kill slot. If you want to be better against everyone else, get a ToE.
