I managed to fumble a bot check and to my surprise I got this screen:
Your privilege to fight was suspended for 60 minutes starting at 12:56 AM EDT. Current server time is Fri Jul 6 01:29:24 2007.
You may fight again when that time has elapsed, or you may continue immediately after paying a fine of $0. Click here to pay $0 and continue fighting.
NUB BA costs nothing, so your fine is nothing...this will have to be fixed...

I've gotten this "error" (sorry, Nov, not only just a NUB thing, probably) when more than enough time elapses for the fine fee to diminish to $0, but not before the time to be unsuspended is up.

But there's 27 mins left there on the suspension. NUB BA cost would make sense, easy to imagine that the fine calculation formula has multiplication by BA-cost somewhere in it...
that's exactly what the fine is based on...
Good point SNK, that is another instance where this might occur
It should be a bug though, they should still have to pay to get that BA back since they can still buy the rest for free.
I'm sure this is a bug, otherwise there wouldn't really be any bot security for new users.

yeah, GL, it still stops you from fighting, so if you were a bot, you wouldn't be fighting because you need to pay a $0 fine.
Not that I know anything about making bots, but if you're able to make one to fight for you, I'm sure it's possible to tell it to click the "Pay $0 to carry on fighting" link.
In essence, allowing a nub who's botting (if this is the fine page from failing a bot check and not multiple fight suspention page...) to fight without fear.
Probably very easy to catch people who are always pressing the "Pay $0 fine" link though. ;)

Jon is aware of the problem.
If I check one of the other tools we have to detect bots, I do not see anything recent that worries me more than usual...
NUB BA costs nothing. That is because it is related to the recent change.
Changelog
will be fixed after next server restart
Until then, abuse it all you want :)
Does the server restart often?
I suppose that depends on your definition of "restart".
Either way, you answered my underlying question.
