Tournament concerns (in General)

I think in the future, if not now, tats should be barred from play completely, it just becomes who can grab or feed eachother the highest items.

Tournaments will just become who can grab the highest / best tats first. This weeks case;

Well, yeah, I gotta say that the tat smuggling that takes place right now is muchly annoying. It's not that those who sell them are currently doing anything wrong...but...

There really is an unfair rift between Tat holders and the rest of us...

It will probably be less of a concern later, when the novelty of Tourneys wears off, and the Prizes aren't as amazing.

Hey, I've been trying to sell these tats for about 10 months now... I've been dealing with cramped characters waiting for just the right minute,and it just came. Now, in the future, after this tournament gobbles up all the equipment, things will change....

But still, I have half a mind to sell my full tats, as well. I have 12 of them, and they are totally worthless.

If tats are that much a problem, Slayer can easily administer a solution -- simply have tournaments where tattoos aren't allowed... I don't think it should be a hard and fast rule, though.

Of course NS, you are not responsible for the situation. You just take the opportunity to profit, and that's totally fine in my book.

It's important not to flame those who do the same I think, but to rather blame the situation as a whole.

Well you could have just sold it to the store 10 months ago for 50k more than Lostling paid you for it :P

I've said in chat a few times that some tournaments will allow tats, others will not, for those who do not like them, T3 will be a good tourney for you :)

hehe I have to confess... I had been buying a few base lesser tats lying in stores ever since Jon announced tourney. I knew there will be business :) My only regret is that I didn't do it religiously hehe, I only bought enough to hold on 1 char instead of creating 3 more chars that I could :P

But hey, it's legit business :) One must always improvise hehe

RD - When I made the auction, I misread the NW of the item by an order of magnitude. I thought it was 100k, not 1m.

If tattoos are allowed in a tournament then it's not like there aren't any available: there are loads in auction right now with fairly low BINs and then there is the tattoo artist after that.

If it's about people making some money out of tourney players...well...what are you going to do with the money your tourney character is making anyway?

Not really as each character has a max tattoo level such a tattoo will function at.

For my tourney character it is about 10k.

Yes, it is an advantage, but not one insurmountable.

Also you can't get the tattoo off of the character, so it will be gone forever afterwards, which imo will be good :)
