Can't Access CBStuff.nl (in Off-topic)

Xenko May 20 2007 10:04 AM EDT

I have tried to access www.cbstuff.nl several times over the past week or two and have been unable to get to it.

I have tried going right to the site, I have tried from the link in community, I have tried searching google and then clicking the link, and none of it works. I've also tried in both IE and Firefox. I used to be able to access it no problem in the past.

Every time I try to go to it now, I keep getting a "Problem loading page" because "Server not found". Anyone else having any problems, or have any ideas why I am not able to access it? Thanks.

No idea why you can't access it, but I can with no problems via the community link.

No problems here either...

strange

It is strange. I see no reason why this should be happening, especially when I could access it a few week ago.

Works for me. Just wish the armor optimizer was updated ;) lol, if I knew how and had more time I'd offer to help. But alas it is not so.

have you tried a ping to the site?
just type cmd in run
after that type ping "www.cbstuff.nl" in the cmd screen
If that fails type "tracert www.cbstuff.nl"

It could be a problem at your end

I'll try that ping and stuff when I get home tonight. I am on at work (on my laptop) and it works from here... so it's not any settings on my computer.

Xenko May 28 2007 6:47 PM EDT

When I tried to ping www.cbstuff.nl I got the following message:

Ping request could not find host www.cbstuff.nl. Please check the name and try again.

and when I try try to trace route I get:
Unable to resolve target system name www.cbstuff.nl

I tried both commands with google and they worked fine. Anyone know what the problem could be and/or how to fix it? Thanks!

Your provider's name server is faulty...

Brakke Bres [Ow man] May 28 2007 6:56 PM EDT

Xenko May 28 2007 7:06 PM EDT

Brakke Bres [Ow man] May 28 2007 7:44 PM EDT

Xenko May 28 2007 7:49 PM EDT

Well I can see the Apache page... but I still can't get on cbstuff :(

QBPit Spawn [Abyssal Specters] May 28 2007 10:47 PM EDT

that sounds like it may be a dns problem then

AdminShade May 28 2007 11:56 PM EDT

please remind me of the fact that I have to contact those people then :)

AdminShade May 29 2007 2:38 AM EDT

alternative, have you tried to enter the following: http://www.cbstuff.nl/index.html

perhaps that will work

bartjan May 29 2007 3:28 AM EDT

His provider can't resolve the name www.cbstuff.nl into an IP. This simply means that *any* page on that domain won't work for him.
Something is wrong with the DNS for cbstuff.nl, most likely at Kultur's provider.
