Auctions? (in General)

What is up with the auctions these days?

i.e. Where is everything? Has the game engine determined that there's enough of everything out there so it's not putting much new stuff in the pipeline? Have all the players decided they are happy with what they have and not looking to sell?

With the new reduced retrain "fees" I have found myself shifting my strategy more to try and find ways to counteract those I haven't been able to beat. This necessitates that I also change my equipment from time to time. Thank goodness for rentals where I can experiment, but I'd certainly like to be able to BUY some of those items that work for me eventually.

Your thoughts?

well theres always the forums lol :x but yea too little items around on auctions :x

doesn't seem to be too many being sold on forums either.

On a possibly somewhat related note, there aren't many forging jobs available either.

And there also seems to be a flood of CB$ for sale all of a sudden, with little demand (some sales are going for less than $8/mill)...methinks the economy is in crisis :(

can't wait for lamuness' stats...

personally i don't think that CB for USD sales have anything to do with the games internal economy IMO. look at some of the top USD spenders in the game, they have what they want for now be it minions or gear.

well, if you sell off your items for cheap cause you want some USD for RL asap, that affects the economy a bit :)

Well, seems to me that there are more players ever in contention then ever for the top spots, therefore more players buying the stuff. My question is has the rate of auctions increased to allow for a steady price and availability to all players. Because, if nothing else, the constantly raising prices makes it difficult (at least for me) for non NUB, non USD spenders to get what they want.

So maybe... there just needs to be more items spawned?

Most likely related to lower BA rate...

i find this happens alot, that the whole site just coasts, its happens once there is a new item or a predicted nerf change, once thats taken care of, the hick-up should stop and the beat continue????

I didn't change the spawn rate.

But with reduced BA you changed the number of fights per day. If they are still linked, then the number of spawns is related to the fights per day, then with reduced BA brings reduced number of fights, brings reduced spawns (or what Bart said)

That's right... I need to add a BA factor in. I'll do that by tomorrow.

I don't know for sure if it's done yet but the store seems to be overflowing with new stuff.

I think I liked it better when it was emptier.

Thanks Jon... at least now we have something to bid on in Auctions! It seems to be about what it was before the BA change.

and the stores are great. Ya never know when you'll need 45 Soft Leather Armors or 52 Cloaks (you can paint playing cards on their backs). ;)

Wow... What is going on with auctions still... 35 tat's?! I think the rare spawn rate is a little high. At this rate I'll be able to sell my elb for around 500k base....

i'm just trying to find a tattoo of augmentation...

You do realize you can use the tattoo artist to convert any tattoo to a TOA for 400k if you really need one.
