Single Tank Starter Kit. Strategy... (in General)

Ok, my char Diabolik is a single ToA tank. Armed with an ELB and a Morg. The only stats I'm training currently are HP/ST/DX. (The HoE and Tulkas are rented).
It's working well, it started out UC but then once he got big enough I equipped the Morg. Then I had quite a large evasion and the same sort of size AMF, which I retrained into HP/ST/DX without losing any of my opponents. I'm currently pouring money into the bow to raise it's level (x150) but it's doing similar damage to the Morg (x1700). Yes, over 1200 levels difference on the X there for the same sort of damage....
Anyway...what to do with him next? I'm planning to stay this way for a while longer, maybe up to about 500k MPR in tribute to CB1 tank raising. But after that? AMF? Evasion? Bloodlust? Archery? DM? More minions? What gear? Give me a hand - tell me what you would do with him and why, enchantments, equipment and the like.

In terms of opponents he is actually really good against a broad spread of tank and mage teams. The biggest problems so far are evasion/UC and decay. But not enough to worry.
AMF or Seekers. If you aren't oging to run seekers, then def AMF.
Evasion or BL... Tough choice now.
I don't think you'll need an ED. Maybe a base Prot. Maybe GA.

The thing I'm wondering most is: my damage is higher than most mages of a similar size. My HP is also higher than the damage they are dishing out, especially after the Morg does it's thing. So, would I be better served by upping my basic stats rather than AMF until I hit bigger mages, dishing out much higher damage? I'm loath to rely too much on seekers.

Make him a heavy AC Wall with just HP/STR/BL trained and his big ole' Morg and ELBow.
Then make an Enchanter with a 50%/40%/10% AMF, Haste, and Evasion and dump a RoS on there.
=D

To be honest, shouldn't you have more than enough HP when you get to said mages?

Up the + on that ELB, you will be better equip against those pesky evasion and UC minions.

HP: I will have loads, especially if I let the ToA take the strain of the other stats. But, I'm starting to see a few single mages who are hitting for 300k per round. Ok, so I'm doing similar damage but yup the + on the bow is lower than it should be. I'm not hitting them often enough to take them out before they take me....

Can you survive till melee against the mages? If you are then train BL, I'm sure you need those HP back using that MH. ;) Also, why don't you add an EB to increase that DEX and BL of yours?
The AMF/Seekers are for multi minion Decay mages. ;)
Train AMF to aobut 100K then leave it there.
Why train AMF when you only use it against a few opponents who hit a smidgen too hard? Just keep doing what you're doing -- it's working, and until you get larger, there's too many people to choose from to attack to bog down your strat because of one guy.

use BL, I say use it, because its massive, you should take advantage of that, 60% extra damage on top of what it does, is nice.
If it isn't broken, don't fix it :P

Well vs mages your kind of hosed.
If you can use seekers, or get a small stack, equip them for defense.
I would go BL since it gives amazing damage compared to the xp cost. Archery is great but you should be able to hit non evasion mages/enchanters just with your TOA's PTH and your dex advantage. If not, avoid large evasion trained mages.
I would drop the MH and go with the VB. I realize that the MH has inate leech, however what other item nerfs an opponents tattoo by 40%? You will find that vs TOE opponents and vs high AC opponents the VB will cut through them easy, especially if you use BL.
I also would learn AMF. On a single minion decay can be a bummer. Learn at least a 100k AMF to help vs base decay. You might also want to learn protection to level 54k which is (20). For a single minion it helps vs non DM opponents.
Remember that your ELB and ToA's plus do 1/5th what they are supposed to unless you train archery...
If you're planning on staying with the Morg (which is sounds like you are), I would suggest dbs, and an AX bow. Otherwise the optimal setup for a single minion tank is essentially what SNK3R had going a while ago. Pitspawn would likely club me to death and scream something about evasion and the SoD...but I'm still not listening.
"learn protection to level 54k which is (20)"
57,608 which happens to be 598,629 XP.....
(I have to put all that work I did to SOME use, after all......)
