CB Fantasy Football League (in Contests)

Yes, that's right, I'm now taking applications for up to 12 people to join a fantasy football league. The entry fee will be 2 mil, which does not have to be paid until Week 8. Let me know if you guys/gals are interested. (I'll be using Yahoo if we get enough people.)

I always played both. Go figure :) Any general idea of what day/time we are shooting for, for the draft? I know I am mostly avalible from 6am-3pm est. Subject to change though.

We need to get at least two more people to be in this. If it's a problem of money that you're not interested in joining let me know. I may think about lowering the entry fee. Without those two more people we aren't going to do it though.

Ok. Well, apparently that was the wrong link. The correct one is here... really, it is.

When you get there select 'Join Custom' and when it prompts you to enter the league ID# enter '296801' and the password is still 'cb2'. Then just go ahead and create your team. I'll keep you all informed as to when we're going to be drafting. Good luck!

Ok, guys. Let's keep our CB names in our team names so there isn't any confusion.

Ok. The draft date has been set for August 27th, two weeks before the season starts. The time has not been set, but we can do it whenever is most convenient for all of you since I don't have class at all that day. We will be using CB chat to draft (our own room, of course, so as not to disturb anyone).

There are still a few of you who have not signed up yet! Please do so soon.

Also, if you would like to send your entry fee you may do so now. It doesn't have to all be up front, and you're more than welcome to pay in installments. Just remember that the full two million must be to my character, Fantasy Football Pool, by October 29th (Week 8 of regular season play).

I also would like to know if you all would like to change back to a head-to-head league if we have 8 or more people. It's looking like we're going to assuming everyone who said they were going to join joins. So let me know. I'd prefer it to be that if we can, but if not we'll still have lots of fun.

I'd rather not have head to head

I have registered. I haven't been blending recently, but I'll be back in another week or two.

Forgive me for not saying previous, but here are the prizes:

1st place-- 16 mil
2nd place-- 3 mil
3rd place-- 1 mil

The winner will also receive an as yet undecided named item that will serve as their trophy. Good luck!

(By the way, with the change back to head-to-head competition we've also gone to a playoff system. The rules for the playoff are outlined in the league rules. Basically it's a six team, three week playoff starting with Week 13 of the NFL season.)

P.S. And as always, if you'd like to see any rules changes put it up for a vote here. I'll be happy to accommodate you all, so long as you're in the majority.

I'm thinking we need to vote, for an offline draft. Seeing as how some of us, won't be able to make a live draft.

In such case, you can select prospects, and the system will select them according to the order/avalibility that you have selected them.

You do realize that you could always fill out that list and then send it to me and we could pick for you... I find that humans are smarter than computers anyway...

So far only DAWG, edyit, and myself have paid their entry fee. You've still got a little over two months to have it in, but don't forget about it! Don't procrastinate!

Concidering it's 2M to get in .. shouldn't 3rd be above that?

Deifeln didn't even want a 3rd prize, so this is the compromise. At least you get something for coming in 3rd. It's just a consolation prize though. It shouldn't be outstanding.

The draft will be this Sunday beginning at 11 AM EDT in CB chat room "CB Fantasy Draft". I was unable to get us a time on Sunday using Yahoo because it was completely booked, so we're just using CB chat. If any of you are unable to make it let me know and email me a list of players you would draft in order. I will then pick the highest player on that list for your roster. And of course, I'll make sure you have at least enough players to fulfill your starting roster requirements. Be careful how you fill your sheet out though, because you only get 10 transactions the entire season. Please send those lists to me in an email at msalyers2@gmail.com.

P.S. The onus is on you to make it to the draft or arrange with me otherwise. If you aren't present then you'll have your team picked for you... and you might not like that.
