How DO you pronounce that? (in Off-topic)

SNK3R...is it sinker? sneaker? snaker? sonecar?

We were discussing this in chat...how exactly is this supposed to be pronounced?

Ok.. i always thought it was to be pronounced as Snaker as in SNaK3R... :) I also heard Sonekar....

I'm with Sinker. It doesn't sound right in my head any other way. Of course that's not much that's right that goes on inside my head, but that's another matter entirely.

SiNKer is the obvious choice, but those in the know insist that it's SNeeKer. SNicKer has also been suggested. With the bad 'e' in all cases.

I always thought it was Sneaker, like the sport shoes... it has to be that way! ;p

And yeah, I've always just spelled out the whole thing, including the '3' and the 'R'.

Lol...i always thought it was pronounced as Sneaker too. I've thought that since CB1...lol but perhaps i've been wrong all this time... ^_^

I spell SNK3R as S N K 3 R.

Sneaker and Snicker were the favourite CB1 nicknames.

I have always said Snaker because I found it easiest to say but lately have been thinking it should actually be Ess En Kay er.

Ess and er are not in the dictionary but En and Kay are, another interesting post :).

*sighs* the conclusion is that it cannot be pronounced, only typed. So if you ever talk to SNK on the phone, use a keyboard. He'll recognize the keystrokes by the sound given off from your fingers tapping.
