Well, don't sell your MHs just yet, but the VB and ELS blow them away in average damage per blow. It's not even close.

I don't know why this is, I just took more data points than normal because I *knew* this would be popular.

And as someone who doesn't own a MH/BoTH, I would like to say, ha ha.

Hmm Grant, a MH has a base damage of 84 and ELS has 80. Clearly the MH has a higher base damage. How can it be that ELS does more damage on average??

I don't know. All I know is that a base MH does about the same damage as a base halberd.

An interesting question would be if a BoTH exhibits the same behavior. Anyone have a base or x11 one?

and doesn't the AC reduction on the VB mean anything?

Flamey, he was referring to the fact that according to his research, the MH has a lower base dmg than a VB or ELS. Which means the BTh base damage is lower yet. Which means, as a non-drain weapon owner, he gives a "ha ha" to those who do own drain weapons.

does ST have more impact on a two handed weapon's damage? I know that reality has no place here, but in RL a hammer requires strength to get the most out of it. Whereas a sharp sword can do a lot of damage regardless of strength.

Maybe you should check out a base exec compared to a katana say, to see if the same happens.

2 and 1-handed weapons have behaved identicly up to this point. MH and non-MH, however, haven't.

x11 is consistant with x1. Big surprise.

Maybe the life drain is taken from the damage? I dont know but that seems to be the only way to make up for the horrible damage that MH and BoTH do. I mean for example I was using a named BoTH with a multiplier over 70..... my VB at x50 did about the same damage... against non armored mages.

If this is true, and is "fixed", then MH are going to be worth 6-7mil base.

The Big 4 have made up bases except the BoNE, the rest do percentages of the BoNE, as suggested by their bases.

The MH is currently doing *much* less than it's supposed to. (How do I know, the ELS wipes the floor with it.)
