CB Tournament - Prize: $3 million (in Contests)

This is a tourney held by myself to take the place of the one that was cancelled.

I see no purpose in not letting it go on. The prize for first place is 3 million with 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be taken from entry fees. You can join any time this week, so you don't have to join this instant.

Condition For Victory

• Having the highest MPR character in the tourney.

General Tournament Rules

1. All participants must submit a 25k entrance fee to the character 'Storage Bin' for every tourney character you enter.
2. All entrance fees must include the name of the character in the message of the entrance fee.
3. Tourney characters are not allowed to have the New Character Bonus (NCB)
4. Tourney characters must be created after the start of the tourney. The tourney starts at Monday, Feb. 6th, in the morning at 12:01 server time.
5. Paying players to fight and lose/draw to your character is not allowed.

Specific Tournament Rules

1. Each tourney character is to be prefixed with '[tour1]'
2. Multiple tourney characters are allowed.
3. All items that are 'rare' are forbidden. This includes Familiars, Tattoos, Runes, and anything else that does not spawn in stores.
4. Training Decay is forbidden.
5. All characters are to have 3, and exactly 3, minions at the start, the end, and throughout the entire tournament.
6. There are individual restrictions on the characters themselves:
   • You must have one Mage. A Mage must have a DD spell (excluding decay). A Mage cannot have any skills other then Evasion.
   • You must have one Enchanter. A Enchanter can not do damage directly with DD spells or physical weapons. An Enchanter must have one enchantment and can not train any Skills other then Evasion.
   • You must have one Tank. A Tank can not train Enchantments or DD spells.
7. Regular characters are restricted to 1500 BA for making challenges. New User Bonus (NUB) characters are restricted to 600 BA for making challenges.

*Any violation of the above rules will cause the disqualification of your character and your entrance fee will not be refunded.

Additions and Clarifications

• There is no NW cap.
• Transfers can be made to the tourney character. This includes cash and non-rare items.
• Rares also includes items from the Black Market. This will exclude the use of compound bows, heavy crossbows, katanas, and the like.
• Tournament ends at midnight, Sunday night.
• Tourney characters are not to be in a clan.

The transfer from this contest and the one chadder made is official. All people who signed up for his is now automatically signed up for this one instead and do not need to pay. If for some reason you desire a refund then direct your CMs to me. Good luck to everyone.

Would you, for clarity, explicitly address the other specific rules that were previously listed. Or do we assume they no longer stand as rules? For example, can we transfer money to our tourney character?

If I didn't say it then it should be allowed. Yes you can transfer funds. No there isn't a NW cap. Will these things help you or unbalance the game? No. The reason is that you need MPR to win and not PR.

I will be unable to participate in this tournament. However, I would liek to participate in the next one when I have some more time (and BA) to spend, most likely the next tourney. Can my spot be transferred over to there? (I did pay 4x the money necessary)

Err... I'm hosting another one of these I guess. I'm not rich, but why the heck not. It's only money... and xp. I can never buy BA ever again.

When does it end? Can tourney characters fight for a clan?

I suppose I did leave out the ending. It ends at Sunday 2400 military time. (That's midnight.)

As for clan fighting... I almost said yes to this. I think it best though to leave all characters clanless. It could be considered an exploit of resources that not all people have. Not everyone can be in a clan with a bonus and not all bonuses are the same.

I'ld say the top three positions are rather tight. Just as a reminder, there is only 28 hours and 30 minutes left in the tourney. Translation, 1710 to 1,197 free BA. (10 BA refresh and 7 BA refresh respectively.) Though, of course, you could always buy more BA if you need it. Good luck.

I would like everyone to meet my new character. His name is Bam.

If you win in the time left, that would be SO wrong.

Why? Because it's me and not someone else? I allow anyone to join at any time. Besides, I didn't say weather or not I was eligible for the grand prize anyhow. A prize which is still at this moment an IOU.

I just wanted to play. Right from the begining that's what I wanted to do. Instead of playing it though, I've found myself hosting it. Trust me, I won't cheat, not that I really could since the contest relies on the game engine for results.

Nothing wrong with the maker/owner playing. I just meant that, the odds and unlikelihood of your success due to the time left (it was you who said how much BA could be gotten in that time). With less Ba usable, that would be "wrong" in terms of unlikelihood.

However, you did mention buying BA, so whatever.

The final results are in. It seems that raw skill is no match for xp time. That being said we'll have to find away to avoid those times in the next tourney. Here are the winners:

I know I technically won 3rd place but I wasn't playing to win. Anyone who paid but didn't participate will be refunded. Out of the remaining 300,000 in submission money 200,000 goes to smallpau1 and 100,000 goes to ForgeBird. Gilgamesh2090 gets the grand prize of 3 million, which I'll pay to him as quickly as possible.

As for the next tourney, it may be a while, but hopefully it will start sometime before the month is through. If anyone would like to contribute to the effort you can always send whatever you have to 'Storage Bin' and provide a CM explaining what the money/items are for. Thanks once again.
