Hey all, your fellow CBer here. A new theme's in town, and its called BattleTech.
To test, put this URL in the custom theme line:
http://cb.dontpanic.nl/BattleTech/
Here's a screenshot for you people:
I totally in love with this theme.
Pixelsage is #1

Love it, I would only change one thing, make the minions that die in battle have RED after-battle stats.
Looks quite nice, though it's too bad the buttons on the banner image don't actually work.

You will be down in the history books if you keep this up pixel.

Your one for the history books pixel.

Dang, Pixel, this is indeed incredible. If you could make those buttons work, i would have to give you my soul because that would be so god-like. =D

@iLovehellokitty: No, you're #1 =D
@Slayer333: Thanks!
@Matrim: Wish granted. Reload the css file: http://cb.dontpanic.nl/BattleTech/cb.css
@InebriatedArsonist & th00permann: Yeah, it'd be awesome if those worked. But Jon seems pretty settled on this design, since the minimal use of graphics creates for a faster page load and less stress on the server. Otherwise, I'd make the sidebar look pretty with mucho graphics, hehe.
@YourNew[forge]Monkey: I hate history, but I wouldn't mind being in a history book =D

I'm one of those weird people that actually likes the default theme. It's easy on the eyes, which is important if you're on CB a lot. But I really like this. Good work. Does that talent get put to use anywhere else other than CB? Because if it doesn't it should.
Nice work!;)

@JohnnyWas: Well, I am the art director of a game development group called
Aethr. And I'm planning on going to Art Institute in San Francisco, so I'll have some fun there!
Some of you may have seen this problem:
Good news. Its fixed! I used some crazy CSS to get the job done.
tr td.header-font table tr.header-font {
background: url("hatching.png");
}
td table td table tr.header-font {
background: url("hatching.png");
}
Crazy, no? Took me forever to figure out! Anyways, I think this thing is ready to go official if Jon accepts =D.

After using the Blue/Grey themes for the last year and a half, they have finally been replaced by this theme.
Absolutely stunning, excellent work Pixel.

Amazing theme! This is the first one I've seen, other than the default, that I'd consider using.

I had it up earlier. I would use it, but it make CB look like a game. Granted this is a game, but that's not what you want your fellow office workers to think.

Exactly my thoughts, Vestax. I'm not using it, but it's the best I've seen.
I'm still hoping for someone to someday make a nice office-friendly Emacs-style theme... ;)

@Timberwolf: Thanks!
@trigun: World of Warcraft? Haha.
@Maelstorm: w00t, I'm honored.
@Vestax: Ah, I guess that's why people wanted ones that looked like word processors, eh?
@Maelstorm again: Emacs... my friend uses that to program our game... maybe I'll take a look into it.

If I might make a suggestion....
The red seems a bit too subdued against the slate blue background. A slightly brighter shade of red would be easier to read.(especially for an old fart like me)
I second PK's "old fart" comment!

"A slightly brighter shade"
what would a brighter shade make of any difference for that theme? :p

A few words are in red, Shade. The red is rather dull. It gets "lost" against the background.(to my eyes at least)
I kind of like this theme, but if the few red words were a bit lighter, I'd like it even more.
Very nice work very pleasing on the eye and it is alot easier to read text than with some of the other skins.
pixel would have been able to concentrate on the theme instead of reading your thread about Decay and MgS ;P

Well, Matrim wanted it red. At first, I used plain red, which hurt my eyes, then I lightened it a bit so its not too glaring. However, what I like best is the color purple, which would match this theme much better. Any thoughts? Red or purple?
(The purple I'm talking about is the one in my other theme Swift, http://cb.dontpanic.nl/Swift/ )

Purple would be just as "lost" against the background as the red. Maybe something with a bit more comparative contrast... gold perhaps?
