King Chuckles II defeated HQ-Guys after 21 rounds of combat.
I thought it was 20 rounds or less. But seeing this reminded me that there may have been a change to add a few rounds if either character had a familiar. In this case, both use RoS... I guess it's just having a tattoo that's needed to give the extra few rounds.
So how many more rounds does it give? 1? 3? 5? 3,426,987?
And my main question here is why do we have the 20 round limit at all??
Obviously a fight where two people can't hit each other would go on for an eternity. But why can't we get 50 rounds? 100? No one would use them, only very few characters would need them, so it's not like we can cry about it taking up much space in the server.
I just think that adding an infinite amount of rounds (as far as anyone need be concerned) would make for an interesting change.
Yes, this is one of those ideas thought up on the spot so flame away!

Might bog down the server?
Players will fight too fast and get too many double fight penalties.
Just to mention a couple.

For a second I thought you were an admin and thought "NOOB!" (I checked so it's okay). :D
Yeh it is 25 rounds, well you can conclude it is 25 rounds given that battles are stalemated at 25 rounds.
Did I mention it was 25 rounds?
Infinite rounds? Then the battle would go on forever if no one could do any off. damage. 50 rounds even? If you can't do it in less than 25 rounds, you might as well never do it :P
yea it was increased to 25 in March. After 25 rounds everyone is too tired too fight on or it gets too dark for fighting or something...

Read what I said more carefully, I never suggested infinite rounds.
The only potential problem I can see with this is that in a fight that lasts 30 rounds, a ranged weapon will fire in only 10% of those rounds (at most). In a fight that lasts 20 rounds a ranged weapon has a much bigger impact. However this is offset by the fact that it would be a strategic choice, if you use a ranged weapon (other than ax/exbows which would not be affected by this change) you're looking to kill easily within the first 15 rounds.
I see no other problems with it at this point. Unless of course some computery person wants to tell me why it would cause huge problems to the server.

RoS doesn't give more rounds.
Battles are now capped at 25 rounds maximum because of the 5 minion possibility due to the Familiars, quite long old news ;)

If the ranged rounds did occur at the end of the battle then you would have a point, but they are at the start of the battle, and have their advantage exactly from that.

The 25 round limit forces you to put effort into offense, as opposed to just slowly nibbling your target down and investing in dex, evasion, etc.

In CB defense is one thing that is highly underated. People just get a big DD or big weapon, they don't need to be pushed into doing this because it's the obvious choice. Increasing the maximum amount of rounds simply adds another choice for people to consider.
But I can see that people are not going to agree anytime soon so I'll let this suggestion go for now.
