Tezmac's MPR bug report part 2: Read the updates before posting! (in General)

Hmm..... lets see 207,613 before unlearn of 2 dex. 129,537 after unlearn. Well go figure. Guess I won't be catching up to GL anytime soon If I lose 68,076 on an unlearn of nil exp. LOL gotta love that MPR glitch.
By the way I can say that most of the experience gained was from Exp time.
Hope that helps everyone else some. Glad to see my rewards are gonna be much higher now and wow my BA is back to 572 a piece LOL.

Just to see where I'm at (and because I know I'm not going to win my bet with Johnnywas now!) I just went from 257,715 to 230,522.

Just some useless musing..... Max Tattoo dropped to below my tattoo level but it still gained exp during exp time when the game thought my MPR was higher. Now tattoo has stopped growing and probably won't grow till I get it back up again.
Talked to Someone who has about the same MPR as me and found out that if we both untrained we would both have close to the same amount of exp. So figures that I haven't went up that far even with using the exp time to my advantage.

If your tattoo conitued to grow it might be more than just a display bug.

Unless the tattoo growth is also a display bug...

Doh! just untrained 150 dex a few mins ago (trained it by mistake) seems like my mpr lost around 50-60k.

is anyone working on fixing this ?

btw.. i dont see any increase in rewards.. or if there is an increase its not very high..

i untrained not too long ago, and i lost 100k mpr and around 200k off my max tatt...my tatt grew while it was under my max but now it doesn't. it's obviously not just a surface glitch. my rewards didn't increase, but my ba price went down $200 which is nice, but i also can no longer beat the people i once did (maybe because of my tatt, but i am inclined to believe it also affected my stats, my tattoo didn't do THAT much of the work...).

Rommel, it likely did...whew this bug is uglier than me in a dress.

I untrained about 6000 worth of EC and I lost about 60K mpr....

I just ran everyone's MPR through the MPR-correctifier so I can track exactly how it gets out of whack.

Please ignore crackpot ravings about how we're all doomed because so-and-so lost X mpr... :)

ya i just went down 16k on my max tattoo and went down 13k on my pr and i wasn't even doing anything lol

I did not untrain, and I lost what is likely small MPR for most of you, but significant for me -- about 9k, which is a little over 15%.

How is MPR calculated?

ya it wasnt my pr that dropped it was my mpr that dropped 13k and my max tattoo dropped 16k

mpr just went down 9k..anyone else have the same observation? =s

wow.. my MPR just dropped a bunch haha. I think from 670k++ to 610k now. My MPR graph shows the drop, but I didn't unlearn anything. Guess this char was hit by the bug too.

Is there a special prize we can give to all who post on this thread without actually reading it? Helmets of some kind, maybe?

Ok here goes.... PR / MPR: 222,907 / 133,102 before the train of 580k exp A.K.A. 1350 BA during experience time split between two minions.
PR / MPR: 287,850 / 198,011 after train of 580k exp. Thats a boost of almost 65k MPR in one night. Hmm..... now I dread training 2 dex and untraining it for I do not want to see how much I will drop this time around.
Tattoo didn't grow till I had about 30k more max tattoo than the actual level of the tattoo.
Ohh well lets see what else pops up now.

Stay cool, Bast. I know all about this. Just didn't know this char was affected, coz I bought it from someone else. I didn't use ROE at all on this char. But then again, a helmet sounds great :) as long as it's free !!!

I also just lost considerable MPR after cache flush I would guess. Since this is the first time it has happened to me, wanted to toss this out for consideration. The only thing that changed on my character from yesterday to today was the addition of a new tattoo which is much higher than my max tattoo. The old tattoo was also higher than my max tattoo, but this one is bigger. Just so everyone knows I am NOT complaining. My stats were unaffected, by ability to beat characters unchanged, so all this means is massive boost to my rewards. So I am not asking for it to be returned or anything, but wanted to pop off this observation.

What if it has to do with an artificial inflation of MPR due to the max tattoo system. When you are at or above your max tattoo, the tattoo behaves equal to your max tattoo, where does all the exp your tattoo would otherwise be gaining go? Perhaps it wrongly gets associated to your MPR and since a tattoo automatically trains when you train, or at cache flush, maybe this correction is occuring as a result of that exp that would normally be earned by your tattoo but cannot be because it is above your maximum. Since I have no other data, I am asking if anyone else experiencing this correction is using a tattoo on or above your max tattoo level?

P.S. this adjustment has made the Score to PR ratio of my NCB character Sefton very stout. I personally have never achieved an almost 5 to 1 ratio, so again I am not complaining :)

I tell you what, everyone who says I deserve a hat simply because I posted on this thread deserves the dunce cap for a week, and here is why. And I read every post in the thread BTW.

I have two active characters. One called Sefton, one called Djinni. Look at the Sefton graph then look at the Djinni graph, notice a difference? The difference is Djinni lost NO MPR. So I was posting data that could help track down the bug for Jon. The data being that one character with a tattoo above his max tattoo level lost MPR and one character without a tattoo above the max tattoo level did not. So in your haste to point fingers at others it is YOU who did not see that I was not posting doom and gloom, simply providing data on a possible variable to consider when addressing this issue.

So simply because a person posts after Bast says the magic hat words does not mean their post is irrelevant. Your posts are all irrelevant, but mine is not. So when it turns out that it is related to the max tattoo issue, I am going to request that everyone who gives me a hat have their name changed for a week to (dunce)yournamehere.

Simply because you do not understand or read my post does not me I deserve to be insulted. So I put the Dunce hat SQUARELY on Maelstrom, Johnnywas, G Beee, and Bast head (she PMed me about it). Wear it with pride :)
