deep dark camping secret (in General)

ok now that you've been lured here by the thread title, I have to ask: Are there any campers who do NOT use a mouse with a scroll wheel?

I just started using a scroll wheel again, and snagged a pair of DBs... cause or coincidence??? I've seen a few rares in the store before, but always they had been bought out from under my fingertips... That extra fraction of a second or so must make all the difference.

just btw, I'm not really a camper, but i do need lots of arrows, and also pop into the armor store every once in a while (sort of like buying a lottery ticket, just for kicks).

from what I understand, the scroll wheel is a must.

I'm skeptical that they do any of that manually and the space bar gets you down the page more quickly than scroll unless you have it set for half a page per click or something.

In any case, you should find something more respectable to do with your time.

Before I didn't use a scroll wheel on my laptop which I rarely camp on anyway. I actually sold a Corn to buy a scroll mouse because I missed so many. but I do use a scroll mouse on all camping computers.

I don't have a scroll wheel mouse, when I tried a bit of camping I used page up and down to move around in the store, I got 3 of the 4 items I saw.

don't know if it is a 'must' but it certainly does help :)

I do like rubberduck i only use the keyboard and i got a 3 out of 5

maulaxe August 7 2005 4:58 PM EDT

that helps explain things a bit, i guess - no rare sits around for very long at all...

oh why, scroll wheelie,
why did we ever part ways?

LumpBot August 7 2005 5:00 PM EDT

And I know when duke got most of his rares. No one was camping then. I remember the shadow cloak and all the campers weren't there. I was about 2 minutes to late.

I got my BTh from the store, beat a couple of people to it. The *fastest* why of getting to the bottom of the page is to press the "end" key. Always have a finger on it after typing in the botcheck, use scroll to search the page, if u see something you like, click the box, hit end, and then hit the buy button : )

i like the page down button for armor scrolling and the wheel to do the weps

Since you brought it up....

Camping Tip #13
Scroll wheel is a must for scanning a page quickly. To enhance it even further, go to Control Panel-->Mouse Settings and adjust the wheel so it scrolls 6 or 9 lines instead of 3 lines. It'll let you scroll even faster.

page up/down here as well, at least when I attempted camping but I just did not have the time to dedicate to being successful.

{3yrsOfCarnage}ShadyMel August 7 2005 10:38 PM EDT

the only time I use my mouse is when I need to click the business link and buy the rare....
Tab, Shift+Tab,Backspace, Shift+Backspace(sometimes), Page Up, Page Down. Gets the job done.
