Dont lent big stuff to newbies (in General)

flashwiz93 May 18 2005 7:47 AM EDT

I was fighting a few battles, when I came upon a 6k charactered guy. I decide, hey its my last 3 BA, better fight this out. I fight him, and it turns out that he has a ToJ lent/gave to him from a 200k Character. I was completely destroyed. And it took me like 4 battles to kill him.

I'm fuming that a strong character would lend/give a newb such a powerful tatoo. It makes him unstoppable and unbeatable by anybody under 50k PR.

Characters with higher PR should avoid lending unstoppable items to newbs, it just makes the game extremely annoying, as well as frustrating.:(

Anybody agree?

AdminShade May 18 2005 7:51 AM EDT

well since that tattoo is most likely pretty much all of the PR on the character i disagree.

the puny character has gotten a very high PR because of the nice and large NW on the character, this happens sometimes and if you can't beat him skip him :)

no one is making you fight the char ;)

Maybe the user owned both characters and just tranfered the ToJ form his higher character to his lower?
And yes it does suck, but these character (overpowered small characters) are type of farm (characters created with the sole purpose of winning incoming battles)

flashwiz93 May 18 2005 7:52 AM EDT

very true, but im just saying that i just happened to fight him this time. :)

and finally people don't hate me!

Most players who have been around for a while will - like I'm about to do - recommend you become a supporter. Probably the most useful perk of being a supporter is you get to compile a favorites list - then you can just fight against people you can beat. Makes life a lot easier believe me! There are very few characters on CB2 who can beat every opponent they fight. You just have to pick your fights more carefully. You know not to fight that particular character again now though don't ya! =)

Well you make a point in this post, and j00 d0nt typ lik dis... Which is an added bonus.

Welcome to CB :)

Lol @ Xiaz!

Yeah, welcome to CB! =)

Didn't we figure out about 4-5 months ago that this is Tattoo Blender?

maulaxe May 18 2005 5:13 PM EDT

seems like during change months its strat blender - nothing goes un-nerfed

Mountain Man May 18 2005 5:16 PM EDT

loaning/giving is just half of this. even if it stopped newbs can still rent uber gear, and the same thing happens. a newb rented my 800k Kat. his score is 524, and his pr is 23k+.

Max May 18 2005 5:28 PM EDT

flashwiz93 you have been a member since...when, again? Yet, you call them newbie?

Part of being a member of the CB community is helping new players learn the game. If they happen to buy, rent, or get loaned a good piece of armor, weapon, or tattoo then good for them. It builds the community up and keeps players coming back for more.

I remember when I was loaned my first kickin' weapon a long time ago. I loved it. (For all the 1 hour. Slightly less time than needed to take over "vets" such as yourself, flashwiz93.)

flashwiz93 May 18 2005 5:34 PM EDT

hey, max im still a newb, but it its just frustrating, thats all.

Maelstrom May 18 2005 5:37 PM EDT

So flashwiz93, if someone were to loan a nice big tattoo to you, would you refuse?

flashwiz93 May 18 2005 5:41 PM EDT

lol ....... no. But nobody is ever going to loan me a nice big ToJ. :)

Ok. I get the point. Thank you all.

I'm going to become a supporter soon, and I've learned my lesson.

Yes Unstoppable is correct, kind of like my big toj I used to level 15k mpr per day fighting people 3 times my size.

QBJohnnywas May 18 2005 6:01 PM EDT

Hey Max, I think being part of the Cb community also means making new players feel welcome here and not making them wish they hadn't stuck their neck out and kept quiet instead! Flashwiz makes a valid point here and shouldn't be flamed for it. Admittedly, it's a point that has been made a few times before and not necessarily one I agree with but it's an understandable view. =)

Then again if you can't take a little flaming you shouldn't be here I guess!
