Forum Post Ban Official Rule (in General)

Barron [CB2BANK Investors Club] April 14 2005 7:30 PM EDT

Could someone point me to a rule describing and detailing how Forum Bans are enforced? With all that has transpired recently between YOU and Steve_G (thank GOD that's over), I would like to know what the official policy is.

YOU has been banned from forum posts since late January. Since joining CB2BANK as a forger, he has demonstrated a true dedication to this game by becoming CB2s #1 forger. And, if he had been allowed to post recently, this whole fiasco might have been avoided.

So is a forum ban permanent and forever? A ban is a big thing. Perhaps it should be 1st ban for a while ( 2 or 3 months), then if a repeat offense deserves another ban, then maybe it should be permanent.

I for one would like to know what the policy is. YOU has been a good clan mate and an exceptional forger. I would like to request Jon and or the admins to consider giving YOU forum privileges again with the condition that if a repeat offense worthy of a ban occurs, it would be permanent and forever.

And I for one would like to know the policy on posting for those who are forum banned.

We are told that its allowed and its not allowed both by Admins and others. Can I get a hard and fast rule please?

(Shade has been reminded of an old poll and was wrong about the forum ban thing, sorry)

If I'm not mistaken, the official policy is that Jonathan bans and unbans as he sees fit.

I can answer the bit about how it is enforced :)
If memory serves when you post a message, rather than the message being post you are sent to a page saying :

Congratulations!
Your posting privalages have been revoked. Have a nice day.

Something like that.

As for the policy, Jon decides who and for how long. As for other thing, from past experience, if a person wants to have the ban revoked they should speak to the one who banned them. Asking on their behalf does nothing accept annoy Jon.

Well we really wouldn't want to annoy anyone now would we, even if we were trying to help a friend.
Scaredy cats.
